Aquatics Merit Badge & Skills Clinic

Event Details

August 24 (Saturday Only): The Longhorn Council Aquatics Committee is hosting a skills clinic to help Scouts complete aquatics merit badge partials or rank requirements. The Opportunities offered will be Swimming, Lifesaving/Lifeguard, Kayaking, Rowing, and Canoeing. Scouts/Scouters must be able to pass a Scouting swimmers test, unless attending for instructional swim. For staffing arrangements, Scouts working to pass swim test should reach out to us in advance. Adults & Parents, we invite you to join us for meals, but you must register and pay to cover the food cost. You may also bring your own meals. Scouts need to bring the incomplete blue-cards or paperwork so the requirements can be signed as completed.

Packing List: Tent, Cot/Bedding (if staying overnight), Toiletries/Shower supplies, Sunscreen/Bug Spray, Close toe shoes for the river, Dry shoes for after, Swim Suits, Rash Guards, Towels, Hat, Mess Kit, Water Bottle, Snacks, Flashlight, Small Cracker-barrel contribution, Notebook/Laptop, Pen/Pencil. Medical Form Parts A&B.

Note: This event is not a full merit badge session. It is only for Scouts who have started working on merit badge requirements and are looking for an opportunity to turn a partial in to a complete.
