Woodbine District's Community Service Event - ScoutReach

ScoutReach Community Service Day
“Scouts in Action – Making a Difference Together”
Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026
Time: 10AM - 11:30AM
Location: The Sid Richardson Museum, 309 Main St Fort Worth, TX 76102
ScoutReach families, join us for a powerful day of community service where we put the Scout Oath and Law into action! As part of our mission to build character and citizenship, our Scouts will come together to serve others and make a lasting impact in the community.
What’s Happening:
- Hands-on service project (age-appropriate tasks for all Scout levels)
- Learn the importance of helping others and giving back
- Earn service hours toward rank advancement
- Connect with other ScoutReach families and leaders
Whether you're a long-time Scout or just beginning your journey, this is a perfect opportunity to grow as a leader, lend a helping hand, and show what it means to be "helpful, kind, and obedient."
- We will be making cards for children at Cooks Children's Hospital
- Supplies will be provided
New to Scouting? This is also a great chance to see ScoutReach in action and learn how your child can be part of something meaningful.
For more information, contact your site's leadership.
Let’s show our community the true heart of Scouting—service!
Parking Downtown
We recommend parking in City Center Garage 2*, located at 401 Calhoun St, Fort Worth, 76102. Drivers should obtain a ticket from the garage machine and bring it to the Museum, where our front desk staff can validate 3 hours of free parking. Check out the map above for the Museum and Garage 2’s location. * There is about a five minute walk between our recommended garage and the Museum. Any group members with mobility issues may be dropped off in front of the Museum before the driver of the vehicle goes to park. Drivers with valid disability placards or license plates may also park at city meters for free up to the meter's maximum time limit.
Accessibility
The Museum is wheelchair-accessible and we have one wheelchair available for visitor use. If you require any other accommodations, please contact us ahead of your visit and we will be happy to assist.
Important Rules
These policies are in place for visitors of all ages to help everyone have a great visit while making sure our 100-year-old collection stays safe.
- In an art museum, the best thing visitors can do to help protect the art is to keep hands to themselves. Please do not touch any art object, or any pedestal or case holding artwork.
- Photography is welcome but flash must be off.
- The following are not permitted in the gallery: weapons, food, beverages, backpacks or large bags, and pens/markers. We have a secure closet available for storing jackets and bags, and the studio classroom is also a secure location where you can leave your belongings. Pencils are permitted for writing or sketching in the galleries.
