Trinity Trails Scoutmaster Position Specific Training

Are you stepping into the role of Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster, or looking to sharpen your skills as an experienced troop leader? This in-person Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training is your opportunity to gain the practical tools and confidence needed to lead a strong, youth-led Scouts BSA troop.
In this engaging, interactive half-day session, you will explore:
The Scoutmaster’s roles and responsibilities
The Patrol Method and how to develop youth leadership
Effective troop program planning and the annual program cycle
Advancement, awards, and recognition
Safe Scouting practices and building a positive troop culture
This training is a required step toward becoming a fully trained leader (when combined with current Youth Protection Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills – IOLS). You’ll leave with real-world strategies you can put to use immediately in your troop.
Whether you’re new to the position or have years of experience, this hands-on course will help you deliver the high-quality Scouting program that transforms lives in Trinity Trails District.
