State Park Service Day 2023

The 11th Annual State Park Service Day is done in coordination with Missouri State Parks under the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Scouts will have the option of volunteering at either Ha Ha Tonka State Park or Lake Ozark State Park.
Basic Information:
When: Saturday April 1st, 2023
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, March 20th, 2023
Cost: $5 per Scout or Adult
Who: this event is limited to Webelos II, Scouts BSA Scouts, and Adults
Camping: camping is avaialble to units Friday and Saturday evening at the special use areas inside the parks
Important Information:
A signed Parent Permission Form is required at Park check-in for each Scout under 18 (link can be found attached on this registration page)
Units not camping need to arrive at their assigned Park by 8:00 a.m. Saturday for check-in.
STATE PARK PROVIDES: Camping location; service projects; tools for projects; sack lunch Saturday; extra drinking water.
SCOUTS/SCOUTERS PROVIDE THEIR OWN: Proper work attire for outside/weather conditions, work gloves, boots, personal water bottle, transport to work sites, safety glasses recommended.
PROJECTS: Trail work, group camp work, clear fire pits, playground work, and other essential park projects.
SERVICE HOURS: 4-6 hours; state park & Scout patches awarded.
