• What to bring – Drinking water and sturdy shoes suitable for hiking. If groups have rock rakes and shovels they can bring that would help since we have so many volunteers.
• Where and when to meet – Lake Ozark volunteers should meet at the Lake Ozark State Park Special Use Area by 8:30 a.m.
The special use area is located at the corner of Whispering Oaks and Benton roads in Miller County. From the Highway 42 and Highway 134 intersection, travel 1.2 miles on Highway 134 to Whispering Oaks Road. Turn right onto Whispering Oaks Road and travel 1.4 miles to Benton Road. The special-use area will be on your left.

• What if camping – Camping fees are waived for this event. There are three group camping sites. Since there are seven troops registered for Lake Ozark they may have to share sites if all are camping. I haven’t received any requests for camping so I’m not sure how many there will be.
• Times of service – Lake of the Ozarks State Park volunteers will meet at the Special Use Area by 8:30 a.m. We will have lunch between 11:00 and 12:00 and conclude service no later than 2:00 p.m. There will be a dedication ceremony at the Special Use Area at 3:00 p.m.
• Supplies needed – Rock rakes and shovels
