Scout O Rama 2022 - Passport to Adventure

2022 SCOUT-O-RAMA SPONSORED BY KINDERHOOK DISTRICT

The theme for this year's Scout-o-Rama is "Passport to Adventure". Did you know that the BSA is part of the World Scouting Movement? As such, we interact with millions of Scouts from different countries. This year's Scout-o-Rama will focus on International Scouting. Scouts will complete both elective and international adventures. 

WHEN: September 30th - October 2nd, 2022 (all program is on Saturday, October 1st)

WHERE: Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation (525 Camp Hohn Dr Gravois Mills, MO 65037)

WHO: All Cub Scouts, Leaders, and Families. Scouts BSA are welcomed to attend with their Cub Scout sibilings. We encourage Scouts BSA members to volunteer. You can sign up to volunteer in the registration.

CAMPING: Camping is available Friday & Saturday evening. Campsites will be assigned. Please indicate if you are camping in the registration. If you are, please indicate what nights.

Registration Fees

  • $15 per Scouts, Friends, or Siblings - the cost covers all program, lunch & snacks, and a special International Scout-o-Rama Scarf.
  • $10 per Adult or Scouts BSA Attendee
  • Lunch will be provided.  All other meals will need to be provided by the unit.
  • Children under the age of 4 are free!

NO registrations will be accepted at the door. All registrations must be done by Friday, September 23rd.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

Cub Scouts will be separated by rank.  Throughout that Saturday, each rank will work on adventures and get to participate in a variety of fun activities including bouldering, wrist rockets (for lions & tigers), bbs, archery, and more! There will also be an evening program involving an outdoor movie.

Lions - lion cubs will complete the Ready, Set, & Grow and Mountain Lion Adventures. They will also complete the Messenger of Peace Award. They will also get to participate in wrist rockets, bouldering, and field games.

Tigers - tiger cubs will complete the Tigers in the Wild and My Jungle Tiger Adventures. They will also complete the Shooting Sports Award, Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award and the Messenger of Peace Award. They will also get to participate in wrist rockets, bouldering, and field games

Wolf - wolf cubs will complete the Grow Something and Paws on the Path Adventures. They will also complete the Shooting Sports Award, Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award, the Messenger of Peace Award, and the World Conservation Award. Wolves will also work on the International Spirit Award. They will also get to participate in archery, bbs, bouldering, and field games.

Bear - bears will complete the Fur, Feathers, & Ferns and Bear Necessities Adventures. They will also complete the Shooting Sports Award, Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award, the Messenger of Peace Award, and the World Conservation Award. Bears will also work on the International Spirit Award. They will also get to participate in archery, bbs, bouldering, and field games.

Webelos & Arrow of Lights - webelos and arrow of lights will complete the Into the Woods, Earth Rocks, and Building a Better World Adventures. They will also complete the Shooting Sports Award, Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award, the Messenger of Peace Award, and the World Conservation Award. Webelos will also work on the International Spirit Award. They will also get to participate in archery, bbs, bouldering, and field games.

Scouts BSA -  we encourage Scouts BSA members to assist with stations. You will receive service hours for volunteering. We will also be completing the Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge on Friday evening.

  • Check-In: 6-10pm
  • Merit Badge Session (Scouts BSA Only): 8-10pm
  • Lights Outs: 11pm

Saturday:

  • Check-In: 7am-8:45am
  • Flags: 8:45am
  • Session 1: 9-9:50am
  • Session 2: 10-10:50am
  • Session 3: 11-11:50am
  • Lunch: 12-1pm (will be provided)
  • Session 4: 1-1:50pm
  • Session 5: 2-2:50pm
  • Session 6: 3-3:50pm
  • Session 7: 4-4:50pm
  • Dinner: 5-6:30pm (unit will need to provide their own)
  • Closing Flags: 6:30-6:45pm
  • Games and Scarf Trading: 6:45pm-8pm
  • Movie: 8pm-10pm
  • Lights Out: 11pm
