Merit Badge Description: Here's an astonishing number to digest. Each person in the United States uses about 700 pounds of paper each year. Paper is everywhere in our lives. Every year in the United States, more than 2 billion individual books, 24 billion newspapers, and 350 million magazines are published on paper. This merit badge will teach Scouts about where paper comes from and how it is made. 

Requirements to be completed on own (can be turned in before or after class):

• None. However, Scouts need to bring a few sheets of scratch paper, water, and some type of mesh (window screens work perfectly). We will be making paper.

Important Information (please read):

• Scouts are required to have access to a computer/laptop with video & microphone access and reliable internet. Once registered, Scouts will be emailed a Zoom invitation no less than 24 hours before their class.
• This class will be capped at 40 Scouts
• Electronic blue cards will be emailed to Scouts upon completion of the badge.
