Registration Opens
- Soft Opening - July 15th at 1:00 PM
- Full Opening - August 1st at 1:00 PM
*August 1st will have all available classes and ALL Available Adult Program as well
Merit Badge Catalog & Prerequisites
The course catalog will be fully Available no later than August 1st, 2025.
If there is a prerequisite listed, Scouts must complete the prerequisites before the day of the event and must either bring proof of completion to the class (i.e. the actual work which was completed/pre-requisites completed in the actual workbook and brought with them) or bring a signed prerequiste completion form (see attachments). If the Scout does not complete these prerequisites, he or she will not complete the badge and will receive a partial which will require follow up with a different counselor after the event.
Cost: $27 per scout (Includes all you can eat lunch buffet, patch and all program material)

*In order to get the most out of the Merit Badge Academy be sure you are signed up for a morning and afternoon class using the following guidelines:
- Classes with (AM) are for 3 hours in the morning.
- Classes with (PM] are for 3 hours in the afternoon.
- Classes with (AM & PM) require 3 hrs in the morning and 3 hrs in the afternoon.
- Classes with (AM only) are for 3 hrs in the morning, but the same Class will not be offered in the afternoon.
- Classes with (PM only) are for 3 hrs in the afternoon, but the same Class will not be offered in the morning.
Adult Program
This year's State Fair Merit Badge College will include multiple program events for adults who register. All Adults must Register to take advantage of the Adult programming
- SFCC Admissions team at registration in MPC and set up with headquarters in Yeater (no registration required)
- Campus Tours at 10 am and 2 pm
- Library open all day (no registration required)
- Collaborate Lab open for visits from 9-12 and 1-4
- Shooting Simulator open for participation at 9am, 10am, and 11 am (registration required, no more than 10 participants in each session)
- Daum Museum open in the afternoon
Adult Costs: $12 (Includes Lunch and an Event Patch) * Adults May also register as "Adult Attending only" to sign up for the Adults Program at no cost (This will not include a patch and lunch)
Schedule for the Day:
Meals: Lunch Saturday is provided to all Scouts and to Adults who have purchased lunch. All other meals/snacks will need to be provided by the unit.
T-Shirts: Event shirts are available for purchase during registration. Last Day to order event shirts is August 31st.
Event Shirts will be available for pickup between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the event Headquarters located in the Lobby of Yeater Hall (In front of the Library) - Shirts must be picked up the day of the event. We are unable to mail shirts.

Camping: Camping will be available the evenings of Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, adjacent to the State Fair Community College
Restrooms/Showerhouses: Restrooms and showerhouses are available in the Missouri State Fairgrounds. For questions or more information about camping please contact our Camp Director Dennis Kerns at Dennis.kerns@scouting.org.
Blue Cards: There will be no physical blue cards issued at the completion of this event. To access your blue cards after the completion of the event you will need to follow the below steps:
- Go back into your registration. If you need to look up your registration just follow this link and click on the “Lookup” menu on the top right of the page. https://scoutingevent.com/?OrgKey=BSA653&reservationFromEmail=true
- Each registration has its own list of available reports. When you view your registration, click on the Reports tab to run the reports available for that event.
- This should bring up the blue cards for the scout or scouts you registered. * This will also provide you the option to export your individual blue cards into Scoutbook as well.

Thank you for registering for this year’s State Fair Merit Badge College! We’re excited to welcome you and your Scouts. Please take a moment to review the important details below to ensure a smooth and successful day.
Event Timeline
- 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Check-In (Multi-Purpose Center Gymnasium)
- 8:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Opening Ceremony (Multi-Purpose Center Gymnasium)
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Morning Classes (Various Classrooms)
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Afternoon Classes (Various Classrooms)
- 4:00 PM: Dismissal
Arrival & Parking
- Directional Signs: Look for Scouting America Event signs to guide you to Check-In and Camping areas.
- Parking: Available in the South, East, and West lots. The North lot is also open, but **do not park on the walking track**, as a cancer walk will be taking place. Please help keep the path clear.I
Check-In
- Located in the Multi-Purpose Center Gymnasium from 7:00 to 8:30 AM.
- Units should check in together. One packet will be provided per unit.
Opening Ceremony
- Begins at 8:30 AM in the Multi-Purpose Center.
- After the ceremony, leaders and parents must relocate to Yeater Lobby or the Library due to a follow-on event in the gymnasium.
Morning Classes
- Scouts will be dismissed by merit badge class from the opening ceremony and escorted by State Fair Community College Ambassadors.
- Please review each Scout’s schedule in advance to ensure timely arrival and proper escort.
Lunch
- Provided by Great Western Dining on campus.
- Your event patch serves as your lunch pass.
- Please do not use the buffet if you did not pay for lunch.
Afternoon Classes
- Scouts will remain in class until 4:00 PM.
- If a class ends early, Scouts will be escorted to Event Headquarters for dismissal.
Event Headquarters
- Located in the Yeater Hall Lobby, outside the Library entrance.
- Opens after the Opening Ceremony.
Shirt Pick-Up
- Pre-ordered shirts available at Event Headquarters starting at 10:00 AM.
- No extra shirts for this event, but a limited number of shirts from past events will be available for $5 (cash only).
Adult Programs
- Adults registered for programs may go directly to their locations or meet at Event Headquarters 15 minutes prior for directions or an escort.
Adult Leaders
- Leaders are encouraged to assist in classrooms.
- If a class is short on adult supervision, please notify Event Headquarters.
Iced Coffee Bar
- Hosted by State Fair Community College near Event Headquarters throughout the day.
