The 2023 Great Rivers Council Philmont Contingent is a 12-Day expedition that will arrive at Philmont on: 6/8/2023 and will depart Philmont on 6/20/2023.

The Great Rivers Council contingent to Philmont will leave LaPlata, Mo on June 7th, 2023 and return Monday June 20th, 2023.

Total Contingent Fee will not exceed will not exceed $1,500.00.

Philmont is a 137,493 - Acre working cattle ranch in northeastern New Mexico.

Participants departing from Missouri can join the group riding Amtrak departing LaPlata Missouri on June 7, 2023, and returning on June 21, 2023.

The cost of round trip train tickets has for years hovered around $250.

After a crew t-shirt and $50 bus ride to and from Raton to Philmont expect total cost around $1,800.

For all participants the 12-Day Reservation fee (our Council’s obligation to Philmont) is $1,490.00/person with payment schedule as follows:

o            Deposit of $150.00/person due upon registration.

o            Advance of $670.00/person due 10/1/2022

o            Balance of $670.00/person due 3/1/2023

Individual scouts are encouraged. 

Minimum Crew size is 8 persons.

Maximum crew size is 12 participants
