Established by Scouting, the Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes noteworhty and extraordinary leadership of citizens in communities across the United States. Honoring distinguished citizens puts into place guideposts that serve to inspire our youth to lead, to accept responsibilty, and to care about the principles and causes beyond self-interest.
