These hands-on camps are designed to meet participants at their individual skill level while introducing them to coding, programming, and game design in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Tech Adventures - Coding for Kids

(Ages 6-7)

Let's Learn How to Code!

This adventure is a great introduction to coding for young learners. Participants begin by learning the basics of online safety before diving into the exciting world of programming. Campers build their skills throughout the week through engaging activities and hands-on learning experiences.
Each participant progresses at their own pace while our professional staff provide guidance and encouragement every step of the way.

Curriculum Highlights

Our innovative computer science curriculum is designed specifically for beginning readers and provides a strong foundation in programming concepts through a hands-on approach.
Participants will:
  • Learn the fundamentals of coding in a fun and engaging environment.
  • Explore basic programming concepts such as loops and events.

(Ages 8-11)

Let's Learn Programming!

In this dynamic course, students embark on an exciting journey through the Sprite Lab programming tool while developing a strong foundation in coding concepts and learning the importance of online safety.
The curriculum begins with engaging, interactive projects that build confidence and encourage creativity as students create their own digital experiences. As they progress, campers explore increasingly advanced coding concepts and apply them through challenging puzzles and activities.

Curriculum Highlights

Participants will:

  • Learn programming fundamentals through Sprite Lab.
  • Create interactive projects and digital experiences.
  • Explore nested loops, functions, and conditionals.
  • Strengthen computational thinking skills.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

(Ages 11-15)

Gamers, Assemble!

This summer, immerse yourself in a world where creativity meets technology at our all-new Tech Adventures: Game Design Day Camp. Step beyond the screen and into the role of creator as you transform your passion for gaming into original designs and interactive experiences.
Whether you aspire to become a game designer or simply love the thrill of gaming, this camp provides an exciting opportunity to evolve from player to maker. Participants will explore the future of game design through hands-on learning, creative challenges, and immersive experiences that bring their ideas to life.

What to Expect

Gather your friends and embark on an unforgettable adventure this summer!

Each day includes:

  • Morning Session: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Lunch Break: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Throughout the week, expert instructors will guide participants through the fundamentals of game design while helping them create engaging and interactive experiences.

Skills Developed

Participants will:

  • Learn how interactive experiences are designed and built.
  • Engage in hands-on technology projects.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Event Coordinators reserve the right to postpone or cancel an event if registrations are insufficient to cover the event expenses up to five days prior to the event. If an event is postponed or canceled, the registrant will have an option to receive a full refund or transfer fees to a future or different event. 

In the event a participant or unit must cancel, you must inform GRC of your inability to attend no less than 7 days prior to the event. 

All refund requests must be submitted to the Council office via this online portal, or via the paper refund request form, no later than 7 days following the event
(The request must be made prior to unit check-out for summer camp requests). 

A unit leader, scout, or parent, may request a refund of fees under the following conditions only:
♦  Illness or serious accident prevents the scout from attending the event.
♦  Family illness or emergency prevents the scout from attending the event.
♦  The event has been canceled or postponed by the event coordinator.
♦  Other situations deemed permissible by the event coordinator.

If a refund is approved, a 25% readiness fee will be deducted.
Opting for the refund to be credited to your unit shop account (for GRC units only) will reduce the readiness fee to 15%.


The final approved amount is decided by the team.

Scouts Summer and Cub Resident Camps also have a non-refundable per person deposit, and any additional activity fees are non-refundable.
