Grand Prairie's Second Annual Scouts BSA Fall Camporee

Grand Prairie is excited to host its Second Annual Scouts BSA Fall Camporee at the picturesque Rothwell Park in Moberly, MO, from October 10th to 12th, 2025. This year's Camporee promises a weekend filled with adventure, camaraderie, and skill-building.  This event is open to all Great Rivers Council Scout BSA Units.

Morning Challenges:
Patrol-focused rotation challenges will take place in the morning, designed to test scouts' knowledge from Tenderfoot to 1st Class ranks with a few surprises. These challenges will not be revealed until the event, ensuring a thrilling and competitive atmosphere. Event will be LIMITED to 12 patrols with recommended patrol size of no more than 7-8 scouts (less is OK).  Event rotations will be focused on smaller patrol sizes for maximum scout participation.  Scouts will be challenged with pioneering, orienteering, scout trivia, teamwork and more.

Afternoon Activities:
In the afternoon, scouts can enjoy the beautiful facilities of Rothwell Park with a variety of open activities, including Disc Golf, Archery, Hiking, Fishing, and more. There may even be opportunities to earn a merit badge or two!

Service Project:
On Sunday, October 12th, all are invited to participate in a conservation focused service project at Rothwell Park. Scouts can earn up to 2 hours of service while making a positive impact on the community.

1:15-1:45 Afternoon Event Rotations

2:00-4:30 Open afternoon activities (Disc Golf, Fishing, Hiking, Merit Badge Opportunities, Archery and more)

5:00 Flags and awards

5:15 – 7:30 Free Time/Dinner

7:30 Campfire and Cracker Barrel @ group camp site

7:30 Dessert Dutch Over Cook off Judging – Youth and Adults @ group camp site

Sunday 12th

8:30-10:30 Conservation Service Project @ Rothwell Park

10:30 Depart
