NRA Basic Shotgun Training

April 19th ,  8:00am – 5:00pm

This training is for scout leaders who want to take the first step of the three-step process to becoming an NRA shotgun Instructor or a leader who would like to gain the knowledge, skills and attitude for shotgun use.  This class will consist of mainly classroom and hands on training, with a small amount of live fire range time.  No personal firearms or ammunition will be allowed at this event, we will furnish things needed for range.  If you have shooting glasses and/or hearing protection that you like, you may use them on the range, otherwise we provide them.  This class is not for someone wanting to get better at shotgun shooting, our main objectives are centered on safe operation of a shotgun.  We will also furnish the learning material used for the course.

What to bring:

• Sack lunch
• Camp chair
• Pencil, Pen, highlighter & paper for notes
• An open mind and a willingness to learn
