Attention all Scouts BSA Troops & Venturing Crews!  Join us January 26th, 2024 for our annual Klondike Derby.  Camping will be available the evenings of Friday, January 26th & Saturday, January 27th.

The main event is the Great Sled Race, so get those sleds tuned up!  Other events will include air rifle shooting, tomahawk throwing, lumberjack challenge (log cutting), fire building, tent setup, log drag relay, stake your claim (lashing of poles & flag raising), compass challenge, Scout trivia, blizzard (building a shelter with a tarp & starting a fire), & snow snakes.

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE JANUARY 23th, 2024 @ 11:59PM

Please register ahead of time.  No registrations will be accepted at the door.

Cost: $15 per Scout and $5 per Adult (includes a patch for all attendees)

Be sure to pre-order an event t-shirt. Shirts are only long-sleeve and are $22 per t-shirt.  You can order apparel in the registration. Shirts will be pre-order only until January 12, 2024.

What patrols should bring: Sled (no wheels or removable wheels), container of water, patrol flag, Scout Handbook, notebook & pencil, two heavy blankets, ropes or twine for lashing, medium-sized tarp, 20-30 feet of 1/4 inch rope, compass (one per scout), first aid kit & supplies, poles or Scout staves (one for each patrol member), tent stake (at least 6), & a metal container for boiling water. 

Meals: Troops will need to prepare meals.

Schedule will be as follows:

Friday (if you are camping):

Arrival & Check-In: 5pm

Saturday:

Arrival & Check-In: 8am-8:45am

Opening Ceremony: 8:45am

Program Starts: 9am

Program ends after the Great Sled Race

Awards & Closing Ceremony: 4:15pm

Sunday: packup and departure by 9am
