Cosmetology Exploring
PHD Academy
For students in Grades 6-12
June 12, July 10, August 14 | 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Plan to attend all sessions if possible

Participating students will gain knowledge and experience in the topics of hair styles, make-up, nails, skin care, and more. See what it takes to succeed in this fast growing career field.

Healthcare Exploring

For students Grades 6-12
July 23 | 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Want to find out which medical career is right for you? Want to see how the elite doctors review a medical history, take vital signs, and ultrasound a real beating heart? This session is for you! Participate in hands on demonstrations and discussions led by medical professionals in Eau Claire. Get a glimpse into the daily life of Physicians, Nurses, Physical Therapists, and more. Find your passion and set up yourself for success in these incredible fields!

Nursing Careers Exploring

Nursing forms the backbone of our healthcare system, and is one of the fastest growing careers. Find out what it takes to become a part a innovative nursuing team. Meet nursing professionals from our community, see what they do on a daily basis, and learn hands-on skills. Discover the path to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Registered nurse (RN) and more. Set yourself up for success in this exciting field.

Veterinary Science and Animal Care Career Exploring
Meets at Eau Claire County Humane Association
For students Grades 6-12
August 5th | 1 pm to 3pm OR 3:30pm-5:30pm

Do you love animals? Students will learn about a variety of careers in the animal care industry. These include: Veterinarian, Vet Tech, Shelter worker, Pet products and more. Participants will meet at the Eau Claire Humane Society, interacting with animals firsthand. Families must agree to the disclosure/liability statement when registering.

Sports Exploring

For students Grades 6-12
July 8 | 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Learn what it takes to work in the sports industry or for a professional sports team! Students will explore player experiences, sports management, press box operations, commenting & audio board operations, food & beverage, and sports promotion.

Machining and Engineering Exploring
Riverside Machine & Engineering
For students Grades 9-12
July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30 | 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
Plan to attend all sessions if possible

Students will learn to think like an engineer, tour a facility to explore how they use precision machining while manufacturing, and learn about career opportunities in the Chippewa Valley. Students get an opportunity to create a sample product to show off what they learned! It is recommended to attend all four sessions if possible.

Aviation Exploring
For students grades 7-12
July 10th 2pm-5pm

Are you interested in a career in Aviation? Students participating in this program will learn about a variety of careers in this high demand field. We will have several aircraft on site to see, including charter jets and private airplanes. Meet and learn from experts in Aviation and see what it takes to take flight!
