Cub Scouts Target Sports & Climbing Day at Cub World
REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 5PM 4/24
Cub Scouts are invited to a day of hands-on learning and adventure. Participants will receive instruction on safety and proper technique in archery, BB shooting, and additional target sports—all while having fun. Scouts will also work toward the Cub Scouts Shooting Sports Awards, which vary by grade level.
Our Cub World climbing wall will also be open throughout the event.
Arrival & Event Information
Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive between 8:30–9:00 AM.

- Enter camp at the Cub World Entrance (Entrance A), located at fire number 2836 16th Street, Rice Lake, WI 54868 (County Highway VV).
- Proceed to Parking (20), where you will be greeted and given a map and event schedule.
- We ask that most participants park in the Cub World parking lot. If you have mobility concerns, accommodations can be made to park closer, just let us know when you arrive.
Event Location & Schedule
- Activities will take place at Cub World Target Sports (27) and the Cub World Climbing Wall (26).
- The event will begin at Cub World Target Sports with required safety briefings and introductory instruction.
- Once initial instruction is complete, families are free to enjoy activities at their own pace, including:
- Archery
- BB guns*
- Wrist rockets (if available)
- Climbing wall
*BB Guns cannot be used by youth under the age of 6
You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you’d like. The event will conclude by 3:00 PM.
Facilities & Food:
- Restrooms and water are available at Fort Rice (21).
- A troop will be renting the Fort and Cub World Dining Hall, so please enter the Fort area only if you need to use the restroom or fill water bottles.
- The playground will be open, and picnic tables are available.
- If you plan to stay for the day, please pack a lunch and snacks.

Please note:
Lions are permitted to participate in archery and slingshots only.
Siblings and friends 5+ may register and participate in age appropriate activities. Siblings and friends under 5 are welcome to tag along, but may not be able to participate in all activities.
