Timber Rivers Merit Badge Event 2019

Event Details

On February 16, 2019 the Timber Rivers District is hosting a Merit Badge Event at Elk Mound Middle School. 

Fee is $6.00 for the day for merit badge classes.

Registration from 8:00 to 8:45.Opening Ceremony at 8:50.

Morning Classes will begin at 9:00 am and go until 12:00 noon. 

Afternoon classes will begin at 1:00 and go until 4:00 pm. 

Lunch will be available to purchase or you can bring a sack lunch.

Please bring the Merit Badge Book with you. We will provide worksheets and Blue Cards. Class A Uniforms unless noted otherwise for attire.

After you are registered for the event, you may change, drop, and add classes.

*** If you are registering for a 1/2 day class, the system will prevent you from registering for an all day class.

Training available this day for adults. Please email Terri.Jay@Scouting.org to register for training!

Scoutmaster - all day: Explore the Scoutmaster's role, as well as the tools and resources needed to lead a successful Troop. Learn tips from leaders who have been there. Please bring your Troop Leader Guidebook. To be considered position “Trained,” Scoutmasters and Assistants must also complete, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), Youth Protection Training, and the Weather Hazards Online course - Take Weather Hazards now: My.Scouting.Org

Cub Scout Den Leader - 1/2 day, PM (1:00 - 4:00)one session: This course provides Den Leaders & Assistants with the information and tools they need to conduct successful Den Meetings. Keep your Den Meetings fun (for Scouts & Leaders), where scouts are excited and advancing. You will learn tips to make your job easier. With this course, Youth Protection Training, and the online Weather Hazards class, participants are considered position “Trained.”  Take Weather Hazards now: My.Scouting.Org  OR - attend the Weather Hazards class offered at this clinic!

Cub Scout Cubmaster - 1/2 day, PM (1:00 - 4:00) one session: This course is intended to provide Cubmasters with the information and tools they need to successfully lead a Cub Scout Pack. Make your Pack Meetings special without all the stress! With this course, Youth Protection Training, and the Online Weather Hazards course, participants are considered position “Trained” - Take Weather Hazards now: My.Scouting.Org  OR - attend the Weather Hazards class offered at this clinic!

Weather Hazards Classroom  1/2 Day AM (9:00 - 12)  REQUIRED for all direct contact leaders (Den Leaders, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters & assistants), and needs to be retaken every two years: Weather conditions-good, bad & ugly – are an important factor in any outdoor Scouting activity. Plan & prepare be “Weather Smart.” This class can be taken at the clinic OR online at home, under the new Program Safety: Weather Hazards
