Camp Phillips

A winter day event at Camp Phillips. This event is hosted by Scouts BSA youth. There will be several open experiences so Scouts and familes can choose their own adventure. Stay tuned for more details.

General Information:

OPEN HOUSE FORMAT. HAVE FUN AS A FAMILY. CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE!

Arrival: 
Registration/Check-In is  12 PM - 1 PM with program beginning promptly at 1:00 PM.
ALL participants will arrive through the Camp Phillips entrance. 

Schedule:

1PM Opening Ceremony
1:15 - 4:30 Areas Open
4:30 Closing Ceremony, departure

Activities include:

• Coloring
• Crafts
• Hot Cocoa
• Indoor Archery
• Scavenger Hunt
• Snacks
• Build your own "Snowball Shooter"
• Snow Painting
• Snowshoeing 
• STEM in the Snow

Cost:

Adult Leadership:

• Each Den must have at least two adults/parents in attendance at this event.
• If a Scout is coming without their Den, a parent must be in attendance.

Dress Appropriately!:

• Dressing in layers of polypropylene (Under Armor, etc.), fleece and wool clothing is recommended. These materials "wick" body moisture away from your skin. 
• Dry is warmer.
• Proper attire might include:
  • Heavy Coat
  • Snow Pants
  • Boots
  • Extra socks
  • Gloves (more than one pair)
  • Stocking hat.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• You will need to dress very warm! Most of your day will be spent outside.
• Dress in layers and bring extra clothing in case of damp/wet/extra cold weather (If Cubs are not dressed appropriately they will not be able to participate in the outdoor activities).
• Polar Adventure will be held regardless of weather conditions with the exception of a weather warning for Barron County.
