Event Details

RADIO MERIT BADGE
JAMBOREE-on-the-AIR

October 16th, 2021
9AM TO 5PM
Camp Phillips

Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is the largest Scouting event in the world. It is held annually the third full weekend in October. JOTA uses amateur radio to link Scouts and hams around the world, around the nation, and in your own community.

Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared via radio waves. Since 1958 when the first Jamboree-on-the-Air was held, millions of Scouts have met each other through this event.

Scouts will have the opportunity to work with a ham radio operator to make a contact with other scouts and/or other hams and the opportunity to earn the radio merit badge.

Lunch will be provided.
