2023 National Jamboree

Event Details

2023 National Jamboree

July 14-18 Washington, D.C. Area Touring (proposed)

July 19-28 Jamboree at the Summit in West Virginia

If you are a Venturer, Sea Scout or a Scout and at least 12 years old on July 19, 2023, you are eligible to register for this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Jamboree units will be formed with Scouts BSA boys, Scouts BSA girls and Venturing/Sea Scout members into a Bay-Lakes Council contingent for the 2023 Jamboree.  Because the Jamboree was postponed, those who will be 18 years old and less than 21 on July 19, 2023, can attend and participate in the Jamboree program.

Registration for the Jamboree is on a first-come basis to anyone who qualifies. After units have been filled, a stand-by list of alternates will be established. Participants will be assigned to a Jamboree unit consisting of 40 participants (including youth and adults). Youth participants will be a member of a patrol within the unit. Our council contingent is expected to have 120 or more participants.

The Bay-Lakes Council Jamboree contingent is considering touring options and plan to leave from several locations in the council on July 14th or 15th.  The plans include travel by motor coach bus and may include visiting the Washington D.C. area.  Tour details are being developed.  Early bird registrants will have input on touring options.  The contingent will arrive at the Jamboree on July 19, 2023 and stay through the morning of July 28, 2023, when we will travel back to Bay-Lakes Council.

Participant early bird registration cost is $2,300.00, if registered by Oct. 31st.  The fee on Nov. 1st is expected to be $2,550.

Participant Registration Step 1:  Register and make your minimum deposit of $200 at the Bay-Lakes Jamboree registration.  All participant payments are made to Bay-Lakes Council.  Step 2: Once you have made your payment and registered with Bay-Lakes Council, you will be directed to register at the National Jamboree site.

Adults who wish to serve as leaders for the council contingent in one of the Jamboree units will complete a leader application and receive registration and payment instructions after approval.  Contact the Jamboree committee for more information.  Those who wish to serve as Jamboree Service Team (staff) members will register on the National Jamboree site.

All fees for youth and leaders are paid directly to the Bay-Lakes Council
