Troop Leader Specific Training

Event Details

Kevin Hinz, the Training Coordinator for the Gathering Waters District, will be holding an in-person training event for the positions of Committee Chair, Committee Member, Scoutmaster, or Assistant Scoutmaster. Though you may take this training online, we are offering free in-person training on 1-17-26 from 8:30am to 2:00pm at the BLC Council office (bring lunch with you or $5.00 to go in on pizza). The training will be held at the BLC Office downstairs conference room (back door will be open), 2555 Northern Rd in Appleton.  We will have a few other trainers present to teach everyone, along with Kevin.

Please sign-up in this link by 1/15/26, so we know how many chairs and tables to set up.

You will get credit for classroom/online training requirements for these positions: Scoutmaster, Asst. Scoutmaster, Troop Committee Chair, Troop Committee Member, and all 16 of the online Troop courses.  IOLS (done at Spring Camporee on 5/2/26 at Bear Paw https://scoutingevent.com/635-IOLS2026) and Hazardous Weather Training (done online) are also needed for both Scoutmasters and Asst. Scoutmasters positions, but will not be done on 1/17/26.
