Don’t Miss Your First Camp Experience!

WHO: For all Cub Scouts and an adult partner

           New Scouts are Strongly Encouraged

WHEN: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2024

                          9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Eastern (arrive by 8:40 Eastern)

WHERE:            CAMP HIAWATHA

                          E6350 Doe Lake Road, Munising, MI 49862

HOW MUCH:   $10 per youth (for Soup, chips, coffee, hot chocolate, granola bar, supplies, patch & camp use fee) New to Scouting in 2024?  Use your fall recruitment coupon code you were given at the recruitment or ask Patrick O'Brien for it if you missed it. MUST Pre-Register to get the Free New Scout Rate!

$10 Adults (Soup, chips, coffee, hot chocolate, granola bar & camp fee) / $5 Siblings for food & drink provided

Health Officer Needed: If you are a parent with an EMT or Wilderness First Aid Training or higher training, we could use you as our official health officer and you can still do the activities with your Scout.

ACTIVITIES:      Shooting Sports, Handicraft, Ecology, and games! Check out Camp Hiawatha to get excited for next Summer Camp!

LUNCH:             BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, but event will provide: Soup, chips, coffee, hot chocolate, granola bar.

PURPOSE:         For all new and current Cub Scouts to have the Camp Experience that was promised right away this fall!

BRING WITH YOU: 
Your Lunch to eat and The forms on the right with your completed the day of the event: the Health Form Part A & B & raingear and dress for the weather.

Cubmasters – Please register online by OCTOBER 1st to let us know how many from your Pack are attending. We need the head count for food and supplies. Thank you!

Note: Due to changes to the Bobcat this year, they will not earn the full Bobcat Adventrue at this event but it will help them greatly when the work on it at the first Den Meeting. 

Overnight Family Tent Camping available for an additional fee of $10 per person. Contact Patrick O'Brien for more details patrick.obrien@scouting.org. This is great for Friday if coming from a long distance away.

Arrive at Camp by 9AM Eastern (Check-in at the Service Building-Comissary)

Cost is $10--Register as a Webelos Scout and Webelos Adult

Scouts, BSA Troop 408 would like to invite you for a weekend campout at Camp Hiawatha. If you are a Webelo’s or AOL or are 10 years old and in the 5th Grade. We would like you and a parent to come out and enjoy the day and night with us.  Our troop will camp out overnight and you are invited to stay with us. Here’s what you need to bring.

A change of clothes - Sleeping bag – Pad to sleep on – Cup, Bowl and Spoon - Rain suit or poncho - warm jacket and hat – Tent or the Troop will supply one.

Food: a Bag Lunch – one carrot – one potato – ¼ pound of Hamburger- 2 packets of oatmeal and 2 packets of hot cocoa.

This day is packed full of fun things to do. It will give you an idea of what camping with a Scouts, BSA Troop is all about. I hope you will come and join our troop for this exciting weekend.
