May 5-7, 2023

Survival starts at 5 PM on May 5 and concludess on May 7 at 10 AM.

Join us at the Bay-Lakes Council Spring Camporee and learn how to SURVIVE with WILDERNESS SURVIVAL and earn your Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. Learn wilderness survival techniques by playing Survival Feud, pitting one patrol against another, to see who has the most survival knowledge. Learn the essential items that make up a survival kit that every Scout should have. Become skilled at starting fires without matches, how to attract attention when lost, understand the proper ways to treat water to make it drinkable, and finally build a natural shelter and spend the night in it to complete your training!

Maximun number of Scouts for this event is 125 scouts

The Camporee is designed so that if each Scout completes the pre-work and all
activities during the weekend, they will have earned the Wilderness Survival merit badge.
