Swim Check Sunday

Scouts, parents, and leaders, join us for Swim Check Sunday! Beat the winter blues by hopping in the pool to complete the swim check required for you or your child to participate in waterfront activities at summer camp. Bay-Lakes Camps staff will be on hand to work individually with participants, while regular Lineville Pool lifeguards provide additional supervision. As time permits, Scouts BSA youth may complete Second Class rank aquatics requirements (5b, 5c) and/or First Class rank aquatics requirements (6a, 6e). Interested adults can learn more about Safe Swim Defense (for swimming) and Safety Afloat (for boating).
Persons may sign up as a unit, as a den, as families, or individually. Our qualified staff will sort all participants by your Pack, Troop, Ship, or Crew and provide a completed Swim Classification Record to each unit leader. Your leader will supply a copy of this form to your summer camp leaders to receive your buddy tags. The Swim Classification Record is good for one year and must be renewed annually, preferably at the beginning of the outdoor season.
Participants should bring their swimsuit and towel. Swim goggles may be used to avoid eye irritation.
Voyageur District is proud to offer this opportunity to units and families to streamline your summer camp check-in process and speed you on your way to aquatic adventures!
