Leave No Trace Trainer Session will teach skills and techniques essential to Leave No Trace minimum impact outdoor ethics and education.  Participants will be equipped to demonstrate and teach Leave No Trace principles to their family, friends, and Scout Group. Designed for any Adults & youth 14 and up who have completed the Outdoor Ethics Guide Training.

Outdoor Ethics Guide Course introduces youth participants to the principles of outdoor ethics and provides a framework for them to help others prepare for the Outdoor Ethics Guide position. Designed for ANY current youth Scout.

LNT Trainer - Training Requirements 

Prerequisites - approximately 2 hours to complete. Due to internet capabilities at camp, it is strongly encouraged this is completed prior to arrival.

1. Review The Outdoor Ethics Awareness and Action Awards Program. and then Print page 7 - Outdoor Ethics Application

2. Recite from memory and explain the meaning of the Outdoor Code. Click here for the Outdoor Code.

3. Watch the National Park Service Leave No Trace video, and write down two things you have learned from watching the video.

4. Complete the Leave No Trace online course. Print the certificate.

5. Complete the Tread Lightly! online course. Print the certificate.

Attend this in-person course - approximately 12  hours for the LNT Trainer Certification.  Oudoor Ethics Guides is approximately 3 hours.
