Welcome to the Girls Introduction to Basic Outdoor Skills weekend!

This fun weekend was created to provide girls throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan a unique opportunity to learn from other girls and level up their scout skills.
 
Activities will include:
  • Camp / Site Setup
  • Hard Gear Selection (weather considerations)
  • Soft Gear Selection
  • Types of Food  (Dehydrated etc)
  • First Aid
  • Leave No Trace
  • Water Purification Methods
  • Axe / Knife / Saw Safety
  • Knots & Lashings
  • Fire Building & Safety
  • Dutch Oven Cooking (& Tasting!)
  • Non-Denominational Worship Service
  • Orienteering
  • Camp Fire
  • Cracker Barrel
  • Types of Cooking Stoves and how to use them
  • Female Hygiene on Campouts / Trail
 
 
This event is open to any female Scouts BSA or Venturing members, OR any female troop / den leaders that want to learn / brush up on their Basic Outdoor Skills.  Female Arrow of Light Scouts may also attend when accompanied by a BALOO Trained Leader.
