Gardner Dam Fall Camporee 2026

The Fall Camporee weekend will be held in the beautiful northern setting of the Gardner Dam Adventure Base, October 9th-11th, 2026. Join us for a Wild West themed scout adventure! This event will be hosted by the Wesmianiw OA Chapter!
The activities planned for Saturday will incorporate team building and scout skills.
- Wild West Shoot Out: Come and show your shooting skills by hitting targets with wrist rockets.
- Trail Riding First Aid: Show how good your first aid skills are by treating common injuries that occur while riding the range/trails.
- Shelter Building: As you are out on the trails, setting up a shelter is key to survival. Show how good you and your team are at using lashing to build your shelter for protectiohn from the elements.
- Fire Building: Like every good rider in the Wild West, it is important to have good fire building skills to cook your meals. Show how good you and your team are at getting a fire started and make some Texas Toast.
- Tomahawk Toss: In the Wild West, competitions were the backbone to winning and surviving. Show your tomahawk throwing skills to see who in your crew can win the competition.
In addition, we will be running an Adult cook-off in the Wild West. Calling all adults to come with their dutch ovens ready to make a Wild West meal, just like the cowboys did on the range each evening.
Patrols will be judged on who comes with the best Wild West Dressed Patrol and which Patrol has the best Wild West Patrol Call.
How can you help? Above all, come prepared to have fun. Bring every member of your Troop to participate and AOL Scouts can camp with a Troop. It is a great way to see if the scouts would like to cross over to a specific Troop by camping with them! We want all AOL Scouts to see exactly how much fun it is to join a Scouts BSA Troop.
Click Here to see a document that clarifies who can camp with a Troop or not. You need to be a 5th grade AOL, not a 4th grade Webelos scout, in order to camp with a Troop.
Cost will be $15.00 per person and this will be a Patrol Cooking event, please register in the link on the right of this page. Make sure to plan out your meals, bring food and cooking equipment for your Troops. An event patch will be given out to all participants. Please bring up Health Forms with parts A & B completed. These will be kept by the Health Officer on site and not returned, if you'd like a copy, please ask us for one or make a copy before coming up.
