Catholic Youth Scout Retreat
Catholic Youth Scout Retreat
Boy and Girl Scouts in grades 5 to 12 are invited by the Green Bay Catholic Committee on Scouting and the Milwaukee Archdiocese Catholic Committee to join them on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, WI. This is a one-day retreat for Catholic youth (adult leaders and parents are encouraged to attend with their children.)
Registration begins at 9:00 am and starts at 9:30 am. Day concludes at 3:00 pm with no mass; there will be a number of fun and faith lifting activities as well as a rosary walk and will have opportunity for Reconciliation. Participation in the retreat fulfills part of the requirements for those working on their Ad Altare Dei Emblem; it also earn participants the Rosary patch and the all new Our Lady of Good Help Activity Patch.
The retreat will also introduce the requirements for earning the International Catholic Awareness Emblem. The International Catholic Conference of Scouting, a world-wide organization, offers a pin and patch activity recognition for Cub Scouts, a medallion and patch activity recognition for Boy Scouts, Venturing, and Scouters. These pins and medallions are offered to any Cub, Boy, Venturer, or Scouter in recognition for increased awareness of Scouting in the Catholic Church throughout the world. If the Scout wishes to have the International Award, it is an extra $20 charge.
The event costs $15 per participant which includes lunch, program materials, and patch. Online, pre-registration is required. Participation Requirements: Boy or Girl Scout in grade 5-12, Class A uniform, positive attitude, and the desire to grow spiritually.
