NRA Basic Muzzleloading Shooting Course

Bay-Lakes Council Sponsored NRA Basic Muzzleloader Shooting Class

Students will be trained in the National Rifle Association (NRA) basic methods of muzzleloading rifle, shotgun, and pistol shooting.  Attendance and participation in this training does not guarantee your completion of the courses. Students must show proper knowledge, skills, and attitude, by passing both a written exam AND practical shooting qualification.  Those who pass this class will be qualified to become NRA Basic Muzzleloading Instructor Candidates. This next level NRA Basic Muzzleloading instructor class will be held in the Spring of 2022. You must be 21 years old or older to attend the NRA Basic Muzzleloading instructor class.

Who: Anyone 16 or older can take the couse. Youth should have a parent accompany them.

Cost: $125 for Registered Scouting members; $200 for non-Scouting members. Fees include NRA materials, lodging, and meals. Students are required to bring their own firearms and ammunition.  Rental firearms and ammunition for purchase will be available for an additional fee.

This course is limited to 20 participants. Registration is on a first come, first-served basis with payment due at registration.  Please register early to ensure your place in this course.

NOTE: Time requirements for Basic Muzzleloader Shooting is 12 hours.  Please be prepared accordingly.

Cancellation Policy: The organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change the venue, date, and time of the course should unforeseen circumstances occur.  In the event the course is unable to proceed, and the organizer cancels the course for any reason, fees paid for the course shall be fully refunded.  The organizer shall not be liable for any direct, or indirect, consequential, or special damages that may be incurred due to such cancellation, including, but not limited to travel expenses, cancellation penalties and any other private expenses.
