ATV Safety Institute ATV S-Course Training

Event Details

BLC staff will be hosting ASI ATV S-Course safety training for scouts and scouters 14 and up who want to learn how to safely operate an ATV. We will be offering the four hour course in the morning and taking a 2-3 hour trail ride in the afternoon. Seats will be limited. This will be a day event. No one will be spending the night as part of this activity. You should bring a bag lunch so we do not need to dirty any of the facilities at camp.

Remember you must complete your ATV Safety Institute E-Course prior to participating in the S-Course at Bear Paw Scout Camp. The E-Course addresses basic ATV safety principles in an interactive setting and takes about two hours to complete. The E-Course can be found here: https://atvsafety.org/atv-ecourse/

Additionally, if you were born in after January 1, 1988 you are required by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to complete their safety training class either in person or online.  To learn more about your options click here: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/Education/OutdoorSkills/safetyEducation
