Hiawathaland Spring Camporee

Date:      May 14-15-16, 2021

Where:  Camp Hiawatha

Cost:    $15.00 per Person                                                         

Theme:  Pioneering

Who:  ALL Scouts, BSA Troops & Webelos Dens

Event Details:     This is will be a Spring Camporee for all Troops and for them to invite Webelos to Camp with them and participate in some of the events as well. The James Barr Traveling Trophy will be up for grabs at this event for the U.P. Troop who scores the highest. COVID precautions will still be in place.   

UPDATED! Activities Include: Orienteering, Dutch Oven Cooking, Giant Clove Hitch, Chariot Race, A frame walk, Monkey Bridge, Catapult toss, Caber Toss, Disc Golf, and Rope toss. There will also be contests for campsite gateway and camp gadget. Also, bring extra equipment for camping, etc for a Scout Swap Meet. 

Larry's Boathouse Dedication: 1:00pm on Saturday, May 15th

8:00PM at the campfire will be the Awarding of the Silver Beaver and District Awards of Merits and other awards. An OA Call-out and Vigil Call-out will take place as well.        

Each Youth and Adult attending needs to turn in a copy of the COVID pre-screening form and Parts A & B of the health form.                               

Each unit should to bring their own bag of (30) 3/8” x 20 foot natural fiber ropes, with the ends Whipped for the lashing events (can be 1/4" if needed). This is a good project from now until Spring to work on getting these ready. Please bring compasses.
