Calling all Webelos/Arrow of Light Scouts! Webelos Pin Day will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the UA 400 Building in Kaukauna (2700 Northridge Dr). Cost of the event is $30 per Scout. Registration deadline is 11/7/21.  No registrations will be accepted at the door.  Pins will be taught by Scouts BSA Troops and by members of the local UA 400 Pipefitters Union and LU 955 Carpenters Union. Available Pins: First Responder, Building a Better World, Fix It, Build It, Earth Rocks, Game Design, Art Explosion, and Moviemaking.

Scouts can earn up to three pins, taking one Pin per session. Pre-registration is required, youth will NOT be allowed to sign up for classes on the day of the event. Each pin is limited to 20-25 youth per session. Dens are encouraged to register as a group, to ensure that they can take pins together.

There will be a “Meet the Troops” event happening at lunch where many Gathering Waters Scouts BSA Troops will have a display table set up.  Webelos/Arrow of Light scouts and their parents are encouraged to interact with the troops to help them see how they do scouting at the next level. Even if you do not sign up for Pin Day, you are welcome to come in and meet the troops from 11:45-12:45pm.

Adults will also have an opportunity to attend a “Webelos to Scouts BSA Transition” presentation from 8am-9am, and there will also be Cub Scout Leader Training available through out the day.  Make sure to register for the free adult training presentations.  Adults should NOT expect to attend the Adventure Pin with their scout. There is no charge for adult leader training, but if you would like a lunch, please sign up and pay for that. 

Den Chief Training will also be available for Scouts BSA scouts.  Recommended First Class rank or above, unless Scoutmaster approval is obtained.

Lunch is included in the Webelos registration. Adults will have an opportunity to purchase lunch through the online registration process (no lunches can be purchased at the event, as we need to know how many lunches to have ready). Staff lunch is included for the first six volunteers per unit, that is helping with a Pin, after that additional lunches may be purchased. 

For this event at the UA400 building, they are requiring face coverings for all youth and adults in attendance.

Check-in will be from 7:15am-7:45am, so plan to attend at that time, so everyone is ready to go by 8:00 am for the opening flag ceremony.
