UNIT DEPOSIT PHASE opens July 11th, 2026.

Bear Paw Scout Summer Camp provides a GREAT 6 night / 6 day OUTDOOR ADVENTURE for Scouts BSA & Venturing Scouts, their trusted adults and leaders nestled on the shores of beautiful Bear Paw Lake 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Mountain, Wisconsin in the Nicolet National Forest.

The program consists of waterfront, range and target activities, whitewater activites, COPE and climbing, an impressive STEM center, various merit badges and high adventure activities for Scouts to choose from and a camp wide water carnival to end the week. Parents will have the opportunity to learn as well with adult activities; leader Dutch Oven cookoff and whitewater rafting, and various trainings. Meals are served cafeteria style in a dining hall or patrol cooked at the discretion of the unit.

Scouts BSA Troops and Venturing Crews can choose a session that fits their schedule, and are encouraged to attend as a group, but any youth/adult can attend any session. Please note: Younger siblings, who are not registered with the same unit are not permitted to attend.

FINAL CAMPSITE assignments will be booked 3-4 weeks prior to session start date. Notification will be sent to primary registration contact and additional registration contact. (Please register the email address of the adult leader planning on acting as the unit's Scoutmaster during your stay as either the Primary Registration Contact or the Additional Registration Contact to ensure leaders attending camp get the information they need. 2027 Payment Windows: 

Payment Windows: The total cummulative due when signing up during a certain window, not the end of the month.

• July 11TH through September 30TH is a Unit Deposit Phase wherein units can pay a $250.00 unit deposit to secure a spot during the session of their choice for their estimated number of scouts and adults. This fee can later be reallocated across the participants on your registration. 
• The payment window calendar gives units the option to pay monthly instead of lump sum payments - Note: this is optional.
• Required payment dates to be met are at individual registration sign-up - a $15 non-refundable per person deposit and a final balance payment by 5/31.
• A late fee of $25 will be applied to all unpaid balances effective 6/01/27
• Payment and Booking Options:
  • Online payment may be made through our online registration system using a credit/debit card or Bank ACH.
  • If paying by credit or debit card, a 3.5% convenience fee will be added.
  • Checks can be sent payable to: Bay-Lakes Council, BSA.,  2555 Northern Road, Appleton, Wisconsin 54912.

Parent Portal is available to set up in your registration under additional actions tab. Use this feature to populate individual logins and passwords for parents to pay directly online for their Scouts! See Parent Portal Set Up PDF under the Attachments tab on the right side of this page for directions and a step-by-step video. 

Please Note: Scout Accounts in Scoutbook cannot be used to pay camp registration fees directly, and Council does not have access to unit Scoutbook accounts. If a family pays through Parent Portal, the unit Treasurer may reimburse them from their Scout Account funds, but those funds cannot be applied directly in the camp registration system (Black Pug 24/7 Scouting).

When to expect additional information:

• Camperships: The link to the 2027 Campership Application will go live January 2, 2027. 
• Leader Guide: The Leader Guide will be available here in February 2027. 
• Menus: The menus will be published in the Spring of 2027.
• Final Merit Badge Class Schedule and sign-up will be released in the Spring of 2027 - We will send an email to all registered campers who have provided us an email address, alerting them to the release date a few weeks in advance.

Additonal campers may be added to the Troop registration at anytime; the required payment due at sign-up will coincide with the payment schedule. If a scout or leader needs to cancel, you may update the information in the individual registration with new committments instead of canceling the spot.
