2021 Cub Scout Summer Camp - Camp Rokilio

Event Details

Start Your Scouting Adventure.

Cub Scout summer camp at Camp Rokilio provides a GREAT OUTDOOR ADVENTURE for Cub Scouts, their parents, and leaders on 213 beautiful acres of hilly terrain with tall timber located in the Kettle Moraine, seven miles east of Kiel, Wisconsin!

Cub Scout Summer Camp at Camp Rokilio consists of a 2 night/3 day stay in one of the camp’s 4 theme buildings, which includes the Fort J.J. Keller, Gunderson Viking Bäten Ship, Kohler Castle, and Oertle Train Station. The building’s amenities include; electricity, water, flush toilets, showers, kitchen, and living quarters with beds for both adults and youth. Cub Scout Summer Camp at Camp Rokilio provides an introduction to camping in a very comfortable and stylistic way!

As a Cub Scout becomes accustomed to the out-of-doors with his Den, they unconsciously absorbs some of the greatness of nature itself — the quiet of the forest, the cheerfulness of a running stream, the breadth of a body of water, the openness of the sky, the freshness of the wind, the curiousness of a bog with insect eating plants, and the beauty of a sunset.

By spending time outdoors, they learn some of the skills, resourcefulness, and self-reliance of the pioneers. The woods, the streams, the trails, and the wild creatures that inhabit them become his friends, and the out-of-doors becomes a lifelong source of recreation.

Camping is an opportunity for the continuation of Cub Scouting throughout the summer! The camp program is designed to meet the needs and interests of Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and parents; therefore, preparation for adventure belt loops and activity pins are continuous and consistent with the program in the Pack.

All of Scouting is an educational program, and since education consists primarily of determining the individual’s learning needs and proceeding to satisfy those needs, our Cub Scout Summer Camp program is designed to promote a meaningful and educational experience. The program consists of waterfront, shooting sports (BB Guns/Archery), Nature, Campfires, Chapel, theme related projects and activities, as well as, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities and NOVA awards. Registration includes a commemorative patch for everyone attending.

Cub Scouts and their parents, grandparents and leaders can choose a session that fits into their schedule. The various sessions offer choices between weekend and midweek. Packs are encouraged to attend camp as a Unit, but any youth/adult can attend any session.
