Glacier’s Edge Swim Checks for Summer Camp

Glacier’s Edge Council will be conducting swim checks for summer camp on the following dates, times, and location.  There is no cost for Scouts and Leaders.

The Swimmers test consists of the following:

Jump feet first into water over the head in depth, level off, and begin swimming. Swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: side stroke, breaststroke, trudgen, or crawl; then swim 25 yards using an easy resting back stroke. The 100 yards must be swum continuously and include at least one sharp turn. After completing the swim, rest by floating.

Scouts and leaders that are taking the swimmer’s test will arrive at the pool, change clothes in the locker room if needed, complete the swim test and then exit the pool.
