Wilderness First Aid at EBSR Summer Camp

Event Details

We will be offering Wilderness First Aid at EBSR Summer Camp during weeks 1, 4, and 6. The class will take place at the Peter Rice Pavilion on Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning and afternoon, Wednesday morning and afternoon, and Thursday morning. There are 12 spots available and the cost is $175. You can add on CPR/AED for an additional $60.

Upon successful completion of the Wilderness and Remote First Aid course, you will receive a certificate indicating Wilderness and Remote First Aid, which is valid for 2 years. You can then upload this into your Scoutbook account and it should show up under your training and certification for use in proving your certification status. You will also receive a Field Guide which is suitable to carry with your Troop med kit.

CLASS FORMAT AND PERSONAL PREPAREDNESS

The class format is grounded in classroom lectures integrated with practical scenarios, case studies, and skills practice sessions. Attendance is required at all classes.

IMPORTANT: There will be graphic/explicit photos, videos and discussion about injuries and death. Be prepared. Scenarios and practice sessions will take place both inside and outside. Bring appropriate outdoor clothing.
