2023 Moahwk District – STONE AGE CAMPOREE

Your Troop is invited to step back in time and attend the Mohawk District Spring Camporee on September 22-24, 2023, at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation. This year’s theme is the “Stone Age and the Quest for Fire.”

This event is planned as a 2-night competition-style camporee for Scouts BSA Troops and Webelos or Arrow of Light Cub Scout Dens.  Registration and the Leaders Guide will be released soon. Because this is the “Stone Age,” all units are encouraged to dress in their favorite Scout-appropriate prehistoric costumes for Saturday’s events.  

Saturdays events include:

• Yabba Dabba Derby
• Pterodactyl Omelet
• 3-D Archery
• The Quest for Fire
• And MORE…

The quest for fire was a significant part of prehistoric life and should contribute to your planning efforts.   Units are encouraged to leave the camp stoves behind and plan their menus to cook over open flames for the weekend using only primitive techniques.

This outing costs $25 for Scouts and adults, and lunch will be provided on Saturday.
