Come one, come all! Join us at the Madison Plumber's Union for this year's Pinewood Open! Bring your friends and family so they can cheer you on as you race against the best in the Northern Lights District! 

This event is open to all members of the of the Scouting family so grab that new car or dig an old one out from storage and join us for a fun day at the Pinewood Track.

The Northern Lights District Pinewood Open is a chance to race other Scouts, challenge your parents or leader or just test your car. Car owners will compete in either the Cub Scout Division (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, bear, Webelos and AOL) or Open (Scouts BSA, Venture, Parent, and Scouters).

Check-in begins at 9:00 am. With racing getting underway at 9:30 starting with the Lions, followed by Tigers, Wolf, Bears, Webelos, AOL and Open Divisions (a more detailed schedule will be emailed to registration contacts on Friday March 14). Each rank level will have their own heat(s). There is a maximum of 6 cars per heat if there are more than 6 cars for a rank level, final place will be based on fastest time across all heats for that rank. Cars will have multiple runs in each so that each car will have the chance to run on each lane used in the heat.  

The top three finishers in each Scout rank and the Open division will receive an award. There will also be an award for the car with the best design.

Location: Madison Plumbers Union, 2102 East Springs Drive, Madison WI 53704. 
                  (This is the same location that units pick up popcorn)

Registration and Admission Fees:

     For racers, the event costs $5/car and 1 non-perishable food item.

     For spectators, the event costs 1 non-perishable food item. 

Registration closes at 5:00 pm on Thursday March 13.

Please watch your email on Friday March 14, for any schedule or event changes that may be made after we have the information from registration.  

All donated food items will be given to a local food pantry.
