Welcome to the Leaders Packet for the 2022 Mohawk District Spring Camporee entitled “Trauma-Rama” when we combine these two concepts, we have the first-ever “Trauma-Rama-Oree” – besides – it’s just fun to say.

The central theme of this event is to introduce and reinforce learning objectives captured from the requirements associated with First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, and Search & Rescue merit badges. The camporee is not intended to teach these skills as the primary basis for completing merit badge requirements but will assist Scouts in gaining skills in these critical areas.

Undoubtedly, countless lives have been saved due to the lessons first learned in first aid as a Scout. For this reason, the committee has chosen to use this as a central focus for the camporee. The companion merit badges Emergency Preparedness and Search & Rescue lend themselves to building a solid framework and offering a rich learning environment.

Saturday morning will be dedicated to skills improvement and development. On Saturday afternoon, scouts will engage in a unique exercise specifically designed to reinforce these skills in a realistic and controlled stressful environment.

Challenging events are planned all weekend, and the Saturday evening campfire and cracker barrel will be an event you will not want to miss. Bring your Scouts and join us for a fun-filled weekend.
