This is a 2 part merit badge. Part 1 is a group class that covers all of the non-riding requirements. Part 2 is an individual lesson. 

Horesemanship Part 1

The cost for this session is $40 Scouts will be instructed through the merit badge requirements excluding the riding portion. This will allow each Scout to gain in-depth experience in horse care, animal husbandry, tacking up and leading from the ground. There is no pre-book work required. To complete the riding portion each Scout will need sign up for an individual lesson in Horsemanship Part 2. You can click here to sign up for this individual session: Horsemanship Part 2. The cost for Horesemanship Part 2 (your individual lesson) is $50. 

There are four different Horsemanship 1 sessions to choose from.

• Tuesday, June 11 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
• Tuesday, June 18 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
• Tuesday, July 9 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
• Tuesday, July 23 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Scouts will need:

• Signed waiver and sent back to contact@driftlessequestrian.com
• Closed toe shoes or boots
• Tall socks worn
• Water bottle
