Bear Claws Adventure **POSTPONED**

Event Details

Calling all Cub Scouts working on their Bear Rank!

The Bear Claws Adventure is where you can learn the safe way to handle and use a pocket knife.  Successful completion of this adventure allows a Cub Scout to earn the Whittling Chip Card and to carry a pocket knife. The Yahara District is hosting an event open to all Bears (and Webelos too).  Where you can earn the Whittling Chip.  This event will take place on Saturday, January 13 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Madison.  This church is located on the east side of Madison between Cottage Grove Road and East Buckeye Road at 1201 Droster Road.

By attending, Scouts will satisfy all requirements for this adventure.  You will use your pocket knife to carve an object.  Each Scout will need to bring their own sharp pocket knife and will need an adult.  It is important for the adult to be with the Scout for the entire course.

Registration fee is $5 per Scout. Adults are free.  Your fee includes a Whittling Chip card and the Whittling Chip Patch.  Class size is limited to 15 Scouts.

Check-in is between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.  The course will start at 9 and should be done by 11:00.
