BSA Rangemaster Training
BSA Rangemaster training is for adult volunteers who wish to be certified to run BB gun, Archery, Slingshot for Council and District events. Certification is valid for two years. Participants must be at least 18 years old. People who attend this training will learn how to safely operate ranges and will learn about BSA and GEC policy and guidelines policy for these Shooting Sports activities. Participants will learn how to instruct Scouts for basic safety and skill development in shooting sports. Shooting Sports Adventure requirements will also be covered in the course.
Registration is required. There is no fee for attending the training. This training is for new Rangemasters and for Rangemasters who need recertification. All sessions start promptly at 6:00pm and will run to about 9:15pm. You only need to attend one session to complete the BSA Rangemaster Certification.
Shooting Sports is always a highlight of a Cub Scout’s time at camp. If your unit is planning to attend a Cub Scout Day Camp or Overnight Camp or if you have an interest in helping Scouts safely learn shooting sports skills. please consider attending this training so we can provide a safe and fun time on the range at our volunteer run camps.
