Spring IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills)
What is IOLS? IOLS stands for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills. This hands-on Scouts, BSA leader program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the outdoors. This training is required for all Scoutmasters & Assistant Scoutmasters. Other registered adults are also encouraged to attend.
PARTICIPANT FORMS:
Each participant must complete BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A & B) and turn it into the health officer upon arrival. A BSA Annual Health and Medical Record form can be found online here. ALL participants must have completed the online HAZARDOUS WEATHER TRAINING at my.scouting.org.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
You will be sleeping outside in tents. If you have a special need or mobility issue, please bring it to our attention when you register or contact Steven Schmitt (course contact).
MEALS:
Participants will be provided Lunch, Dinner, and Cracker Barrel on Saturday, and Breakfast on Sunday. Please eat prior to arriving at camp Saturday morning. If you have any food allergies please contact Steven Schmitt at least 5 days prior to the event.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!
This is required so we can have proper amount of materials and food prepared for the event.
Check-In:
Saturday morning between 8:00-8:15 AM. Training Starts at 8:30 AM Sharp! Training will be finished by 1:00 pm Sunday.
