Ready, Set, GLOW! Pinewood Derby

"Pre-registration Required"

This derby is open to all Wisconsin River District Cub Scouts both new and existing. 

This year's special theme will be a Halloween theme with black light racing. (Halloween costumes not required but are welcome for scouts to where if they would like) In other words you're going to want to be sure to paint your car with paint that illuminates under black lights. (Not Required) You can buy this paint at most hobby places or you can always purchase it from the Scout Shop. We also will have it available for those that participate at the district  Pinewood build morning on October 12.

9 AM Check-In:
You may pre-weigh your car and make final adjustments at gasoline alley. When you are satisfied with your car, bring it to the inspection and registration table. Once your car is registered, they cannot be modified and will not be returned to you until after all races are complete.

10 AM Presentation of Colors and Announcements with racing to follow immediately after

All Cub Scouts will race their car multiple times (once in each lane). Their times will be averaged to determine placement in the race.

Open class Race: This is open to everyone: sisters, brothers, parents, etc... Same car specification rules.

Rules will be Standard Pinewood Derby rules which is included in the Pinewood Derby box.
Each scout will bring their car to the inspection table to have it inspected, weighed, and numbered. Adjustments can be made prior to final check-in of the car. No adjustments can be made once car has been checked in. All cars must be made new this year for this race no previous your cars allowed.

Pack 373 will also have a concessions stand open throughout the race where you can purchase snacks beverages or even a wholemeal. All proceeds from this will go directly to support the local scouts.
