USA Archery Level I
Instructor Certification
Saturday May 9 at Ed Byrant Scout Reservation
9:00 am – 2:00 pm

USA Archery Level I Instructor Certification gives Scouter volunteers the training needed to conduct Archery events including Archery merit badge for Scouts BSA, Venture Scouts and Sea Scouts. This certification also allows the volunteer to staff Archery at Cub Scout District and Council events (under Scouting America policy Archery is not permitted as a Pack or Den level event).

USA Archery Level I Instructor Certification is a two part hybrid program. The first part is an online course offered through the USA Archery website. The second part is an in-person practical training which will be offered at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation on Sunday August 17 starting at 10:00am. Each part of the training will take -4 hours to complete. The on-line training is self-paced, you can start and stop the course as needed to accommodate your schedule. USA Archery charges $40 for the on-line course. There will be a $15 charge to cover the Adventure Saturday fee which includes lunch. 

Registration for the USA Archery Training

For the practical course at EBSR on May 9 is being held in conjunction with the Adventure Saturday progam at EBSR. Please register from the Glaciers Edge Calender or through the Adventure Saturday event. scheduled for May 9. The on-lne USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Online Course must be completed before you attend the Practical course on May 9.

In order to take the on-line course you will need to set up a free membership account with USA Archery. Please find the two links below for information on accessing the USA Archery site. The first link is information on the course and the second is a video on how to set up your USA Archery membership. You will sign up for the course from your membership account. Be sure to select the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Online Course.  

Special Tip: When you sign-up for the USA Archery Membership you will get a screen asking if you want any of several email publications and newsletters. That information is optional so be sure to opt out before you do your final confirmation if you do not want the information.

Finally, if you are planning to come to the OA Conclave that weekend we would love to have you help at the archery range on Saturday that will give you a good feel for how you will run things this summer
