Ohio River Valley Council's Sporting Classic at Fort Steuben Scout Reservation is a Scout's chance to practice their marksmenship on the Archery, Rifle, or Shotgun range and test their skills in fun competitive field games.

The activities and Merit Badges offered at the Sporting Classic are centered around the Shooting Sports and Sports areas at Fort Steuben Scout Reservation.

At the Sporting Classic, there will be a chance for Scouts of all ages and skill levels to participate!

• New Scouts will spend the morning and some of the afternoon on the Archery Range taking the Archery Merit Badge!
• Intermediate Scouts  (must be 14 years and Older or 13 and completed the 8th grade) can choose to take either the Rifle or Shotgun Merit Badge!
• Scouts taking the Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun Merit Badges will spend the morning in their class sessions covering general requirements! In the afternoon and early evening, Scouts will head back to the range to qualify for the completion of their Merit Badges. Once Scouts Qualify for their Merit Badges, they can end their evening by completing in various field games like Volleyball, Ga-Ga Ball, Giant Chess, Corn-Hole, and much more!

Cost: $10 Per Scout | Adults Free In Council Units Only

• Two-deep leadership is required for this outing.
• FSSR will not be providing meals for participants. Units will need to bring their own food for the weekend to prepare in their campsites.
