2023 KLONDIKE---YE OLDE SANDSCREST OF SCOUT RESERVATION
   COST-------$15.00 PER PERSON

The Ohio River Valley Council's Klondike Derby is an event where Scouts throughout the area gather and practice winter camping (weather depending), as well as compete in a test of scouting skills.

Camping units are invited to arrive at Sandscrest Scout Reservation on Friday at 6:00pm and park in the main parking lot. After arrival, units will register their competing patrols at the Training Center. The maximum number of scouts on a competing patrol is eight scouts.

Units not camping, check-in is from 8:00am to 8:45am on Saturday morning.

All competing patrols are to gather a the Training Center at 8:50am, where a small opening, flag ceremony, and an official commencement of the competition will be held.

Just a reminder to everyone camping:  IF you are staying overnight, you must have your own tent. The camp will not provide tents.

NO WEAPONS (REAL OR  FAKE) ARE ALLOWED IN CAMP--YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE!

ADOPT A WEBELOS … you were one too!

This year we are encouraging Troops to invite WEBELOS and AOL cubs into a Patrol. Scoring will include a handicap for EACH WEBELOS/AOL ADOPTED per Patrol at the final scoring. The only requirement to receive handicap(s) is observation that the adoptee(s) are included in the activities---other than pulling the sled!
