Moundsville Penitentiary Camporee

April 12-14, 2024

If Registration is paid by March 14 cost is $75.00; If Registration is paid between March 15 to March 21 cost is $90.00. Registration closes March 21, 2024

• First Aid (Simpson United Methodist Church) 2 Instructors
• Law (Simpson United Methodist Church)
• Traffic Safety (Moundsville Sheriffs Office)

Troops are responsible for the following:

• Registered Adult Leaders will be assigned to accompany Scouts to the off site locations to keep within the YPT Guidelines and for the safety of the scouts. Buddy System should without a doubt be in play at all times. 
• Each troop will be responsible for meeting scout/adult ratio. Adults must be registered and have a current YPT on file.
• Bring your own camping gear, snacks, drinks, and Sunday breakfast supplies. There will be NO fires allowed, but camp stoves are ok. A concession stand will be available to purchase snacks through the Penitentiary. The gift shop will also be open with limited hours during our stay.

• K9 Unit demonstration
• Chess tournament
• Patch trading is not only allowed, it is encouraged. Use this event to trade off unwanted patches and get some you may not have.

You can set up camp beginning at 6:00 pm on Friday. Please eat dinner beforehand.  All participants need to leave by 9 am Sunday.
