Mountaineer Pinewood Derby

Event Details

Registration begins promptly at 9:30am with the first heat of races beginning at 10:30am.

All racers must be at the check in table a half hour before their scheduled race time. Which the race times will be given to your Cub Master by Connie. 

Pre registration $10 closing registration February 7th by Midnight.

$10 covers car registration and lunch (hot dog, chips and a drink)

Late Registrations and Walk Ins Welcome Cost of $12.

9:30am Registration and Inspections Begin

10:30am AOL Race

10:50am Webelo Race

11:10am Bear Race

11:30am Wolf Race

11:50am Tiger Race

12:10pm Lion Race

12:30pm Boy Scout Race



 Youth Outlaw, Adult Outlaw

 immediately following awarding “King of the Hill”


All participants MUST be registered and inspected 30 minutes prior to their scheduled race time. Race times may vary according to den rank participation and/or awarding of den awards.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be awarded in each den rank.

 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each Cub Scout Den Rank will then qualify to compete in the “King of the Hill”. Boy Scouts will not participate in

“King of the Hill”.


NO UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED. In the event of unsportsmanlike conduct, the result will be immediate disqualification.


Each registered participant will receive a coupon for a free hotdog, chips, and drink from the concession stand.

Concessions will be available for throughout the day.


 Activities will be set up behind the bleachers for all Scouts and families to enjoy. These activities provide entertainment between races and offer a perfect opportunity for Scouts to socialize and get to know one another.

 Scouts, siblings, and guests need to be supervised by their guardians.

Mountaineer District Scout Packs and Troops have joined in the effort to raise money for “Australian Relief”. Some of the Packs/Troops in the district will have displays set up with their fundraiser products for purchase or order.
