SCOUTING FOR FOOD

MONONGALIA COUNTY AREA     |     FEBRUARY 2025

Scouting For Food is an annual food-collection drive hosted by Scouting America Councils throughout the country. It’s a great way for Scouts to make an impact in their community while doing a good turn.  Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, Scouts leave door hangers to let their neighbors know about the drive. On the second weekend, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags full of canned food and other nonperishable items.

WHO: All Scouts

• This is a great service activity for all units including Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA & Venturing Crews!
   

WHEN: February 2025

• Weekend 1: Distribute door hangers
• Weekend 2:  Food collection and drop off

WHERE: 

• Each unit will be assigned a zone to distribute tags and collect food.
• Drop off locations (coming soon)

FEES: Free

REGISTER BY: Sunday, January 19, 2025

• Complete the registration form and include preferred zones.
• Zone assignments will be sent to unit leaders and contact after the registration date.
